Ecowitt soil sensors

Connect an Ecowitt gateway and its soil sensors feed Rhozly directly — by webhook the moment a reading lands, or by polling.

  • WH51 — soil moisture, the workhorse. Assign one per bed and watering advice follows the actual ground.
  • WH52 — moisture plus reliable soil temperature and calibrated electrical conductivity (EC), for gardeners who want the full soil picture.
  • Battery levels tracked per sensor, with a days-remaining estimate.

eWeLink / Sonoff smart water valves

Link your eWeLink account, pick your valves, and water from the app — a tap on the dashboard, a timed run, or fully automated watering driven by your sensors and the weather. Every valve action is logged, so you can always see when a bed was last watered and why.

Moisture behaviour, learned

On the Evergreen plan, Rhozly studies how each bed dries out after watering and rain, and classifies it — fast-draining, balanced, or moisture-retentive — so advice fits the soil you actually have.

An AI coach per bed

On the Evergreen plan, the Area Coach reads your live sensor data alongside what's planted there and tells you whether the two agree — plant by plant.

Build your own

Running an ESP32 in the greenhouse? A Raspberry Pi moisture rig? Home Assistant? If it can make an HTTP request, it can join your garden. Rhozly's custom integration gives you a private webhook — no vendor account required:

  1. 1In the app, open Integrations → Connect → Custom device and name your device (soil sensor or valve).
  2. 2Rhozly gives you a webhook URL with a secret — plus a sample payload for your device type, and a built-in test button to send a trial reading before you wire anything.
  3. 3POST readings whenever you like — they flow into the same charts, automations, and advice as any off-the-shelf sensor. DIY valves with a control URL can be actuated by automations too.

Lost the URL? It's viewable (masked) in the device's settings any time — and the secret can be regenerated with one tap if it ever leaks; the old one stops working immediately.

Watering you can trust

Automated water is only useful if it's safe. Every valve command — manual, scheduled, or sensor-triggered, on any brand — runs through one dispatcher with a dead-man's-switch backstop that closes the valve even if everything else fails mid-run. Automations respect your home's run window, watch the rain forecast, and keep a full audit trail of every fire, skip, and failure.
